What we’ve learnt from starting a pop-up

We’ve been searching for properties the whole time we’ve been doing residencies, that’s taken us nearly through to 2 years – can you believe it!

During that time I think we’ve made an offer on something like 6 properties. Some of them looked like they were going to come through and then we lost them so that’s why even though we’re looking really good for two right now, I’m not going to say anything about them – I don’t want to jinx it!

All the time we’ve been doing the residencies we’ve been building up our customer base and this shows there’s a huge demand for what we’re doing. Particularly in Holborn there have been times where we’ve been turning customers away which was both brilliant and heart-breaking at the same time!

It’s been a really fantastic journey and this last experience we’ve had in central London has shown that the idea of an alcohol-free bar is something Londoners really embrace.

That was enough to really kickstart our investors to give us that extra bit of cash which meant we could compete for some really great leaseholds.

This time I don’t think we’re going to be thwarted. I think this time we’re going to get a couple of really good sites and I can’t wait for us to be able to announce them really soon!
